Come avrete notato, quella di oggi è una giornata importante in casa Samsung: il produttore ha rilasciato da un lato la One UI 8 Watch Beta per Samsung Galaxy Watch7 e Galaxy Watch Ultra, e dall’altro la One UI 8 Beta 3 per la serie Samsung Galaxy S25. Diamo un’occhiata più da vicino alle novità introdotte in queste ore.

La One UI 8 Beta 3 dei Galaxy S25 introduce una gradita novità IA per Now Brief

Iniziamo dagli smartphone: Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ e Galaxy S25 Ultra accolgono a partire da oggi la One UI 8 Beta 3, che ci avvicina di un altro bel passo al debutto della versione stabile. Le novità (poche) descritte all’interno del changelog che abbiamo visto le scorse ore hanno tralasciato una piccola novità legata alle funzionalità di intelligenza artificiale, che ora possiamo scoprire insieme.

Now Brief è diventato più intelligente: ora può informare gli utenti degli eventi in arrivo (come i compleanni, per esempio), e non solo; è presente una nuova opzione che consente di fornire un input per generare biglietti d’auguri e scegliere tra diversi stili artistici, tutto in pochi istanti. Grazie agli screenshot condivisi da Sammobile possiamo mostrarvi come funziona la novità.

Precedenti anticipazioni parlano anche dell’arrivo di altre funzionalità, come promemoria per il parcheggio, avvisi per la smart home e per i dispositivi wearable collegati e non solo. Dopo un debutto non particolarmente completo, Now Brief si appresta a sbarcare su altri dispositivi del produttore con l’aggiornamento alla One UI 8, e a quanto pare lo farà in un modo più interessante.

Il programma beta della One UI 8 sembra già a buon punto a livello di stabilità: il debutto della versione Samsung di Android 16 avverrà il prossimo 9 luglio durante il Galaxy Unpacked, a bordo di Galaxy Z Flip7 e Galaxy Z Fold7. Arriverà tramite aggiornamento proprio a partire dai Galaxy S25, forse già entro il prossimo mese.

Scopriamo insieme la One UI 8 Watch Beta

Passiamo alla One UI 8 Watch Beta, giunta alla sua prima release proprio questa mattina. Il debutto è avvenuto su Samsung Galaxy Watch7 e Galaxy Watch Ultra, ma nei prossimi giorni i test si allargheranno coinvolgendo anche Galaxy Watch5, Galaxy Watch5 Pro, Galaxy Watch6 e Galaxy Watch6 Classic.

La nuova schermata delle app, con tanto di elenco

Tra le principali novità portate in queste ore troviamo maggiori possibilità di personalizzazione all’interno del sistema. All’interno della schermata delle varie app, queste possono ora essere visualizzate in base alla frequenza di utilizzo e ad altri modelli di utilizzo, e si possono visualizzare come un elenco con i nomi anziché solo con le icone. Possiamo vedere le differenze rispetto alla versione precedente (primo screenshot) nelle seguenti immagini, condivise su Telegram (via Android Authority).

Queste modifiche sono studiate per semplificare l’accesso alle varie applicazioni: in base a quanto possiamo vedere, gli utenti dovrebbero apprezzare i cambiamenti.

Now Bar sugli smartwatch con One UI 8 Watch Beta

La One UI 8 Watch Beta ha portato la Now Bar sugli smartwatch: come probabilmente saprete, serve per mettere a disposizione informazioni rilevanti sulla schermata di blocco (e non solo). Sugli smartphone dotati di almeno One UI 7 può mostrare dettagli sullo stato di ricarica del dispositivo, il cronometro, risultati sportivi, indicazioni stradali, dettagli sulla riproduzione multimediale e non solo.

Grazie agli screenshot e al video pubblicati su Telegram (qui e qui) possiamo vedere la Now Bar in azione su Galaxy Watch: nelle immagini possiamo vedere il supporto alla riproduzione musicale, al timer e al cronometro. Il sistema permette di scegliere se visualizzare solo l’icona dell’app o anche il testo.

Check the information you need right now and start essential features straight from your watch face. Ongoing tasks will appear in the Now bar at the bottom of your watch face so you can check key information quickly.

Do more with double pinch

Just pinch your thumb and index finger together twice to scroll through notifications, control music, take pictures, and more.

You can also customize what happens when you double pinch on the watch face, music controller, as well as alarm, calendar, and reminder alerts. Choose the actions you need most in each situation.

Mark reminders as important

Mark reminders as important by tapping the Star icon. Important reminders will appear at the top of your reminder list to make sure you notice them.

New charging effects

When your watch is charging, the new screen layout and animations make it easier to check the current battery level and remaining charging time.

Stay connected

Easily respond to notifications and alerts

Use gestures to quickly respond to notifications and alerts. When a notification appears, you can double pinch to view the details or send a reply.

You can also shake your wrist to return to the watch face.

Enhanced notification view

Notifications on your watch are now easier to use with an attractive new design. Notifications from the same app are stacked vertically, allowing you to view more notifications with fewer swipes.

Smarter notification settings

It’s now easier to decide how to receive notifications from your phone on your watch. If you choose Smart device selection, notifications will appear on your phone only when you’re using it and on your watch when you’re not using your phone. If you choose Always show on both, notifications will always appear on both your phone and watch.

La nuova animazione di ricarica e i rinnovati tile in azione

Chiudiamo dando uno sguardo a tre brevi video condivisi da Tarun Vats e da un utente su Telegram, che ci consentono di apprezzare la nuova animazione per la ricarica dello smartwatch, ora in linea con quella introdotta sugli smartphone con la One UI 7, e i rinnovati tile. Come anticipato, la One UI 8 Watch Beta ha introdotto anche il supporto per due tile su una singola pagina: in questo modo è possibile aggiungere due “pillole” più sottili a un’unica schermata.

Tutte queste novità faranno il loro esordio in versione stabile su Samsung Galaxy Watch8, Galaxy Watch8 Classic e Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025): la presentazione è fissata per il Galaxy Unpacked del 9 luglio 2025.
