Huawei è un produttore di dispositivi informatici di nazionalità cinese, è diventata popolare anche da noi grazie all’IDEOS, un telefono molto economico che dava la possibilità di accedere al mondo Android con un prezzo molto ridotto. Qualche mese fa ha presentato il suo primo tablet Android (S7) ma sfortunatamente non ha avuto il successo che si aspettavano. Ora l’azienda vuole riscattarsi presentando sul mercato un prodotto innovativo e dal dsesign ricercato: il Huawei MediaPad.

Se vi ricordate, ne abbiamo parlato in un articolo scorso in occasione del CommunicAsia. Il prodotto è uno dei pochi tablet da 7 pollici a montare Android Honeycomb (un altro è il Viewpad 7), in più sfoggia un design sottile e ben lavorato: lo spessore è di soli 10.5mm e pesa 390g. Discreto, direi.
Sotto al cofano troviamo un processore Qualcomm dual-core che gira a 1.2 GHz, un bel po’ di potenza che permette di riprodurre flmati in FullHD 1080p sullo schermo LCD da 7 pollici e ci consente di svolgere qualsiasi operazione sicuri di ricevere la giusta spinta dal “motore”. Possiede 8 GB di storage interno espandibili fino a 32 GB.

La RAM non è ancora stata resa nota, ma si pensa 1 GB, mentre riguardo al repoarto fotocamera, il MediaPad ne ha ben 2: una posteriore da 5 mpx con autofocus che permette di registrare anche in HD e l’altra anteriore da 1.3 mpx da utilizzare per la funzione videochiamata.

Le varie fessure presenti sui lati del tab nascondono una porta HDMI-out, mini-USB, slot per microSD, jack per cuffie e altoparlante. In più troviamo modulo Wi-fi 11n, modulo HSPA 14.4 Mbps e GPS e accelerometro.

La versione di Android sarà la 3.2 con supporto a Flash 10.3. Una grande novità che attirerà sicuramente più clienti del tab precedente.

Huawei MediaPad avrà alcune app preinstallate tra cui Facebook, Twitter, Let’s Golf e Document to go.

MediaPad arriverà sul mercato nel 3° quadrimestre del 2011. Il prezzo non è ancora stato annunciato, io penso che si aggirerà intorno ai 350€ voi cosa ne pensate?
