L’immagine scoperta all’interno dell’applicazione creata da Samsung per l’IFA di Berlino era veritiera, a quanto sembra. Samsung ha infatti reso ufficiale il nuovo Galaxy Tab 7.7, con schermo Super AMOLED Plus da 7,7 pollici e risoluzione 1280×800. Come la quasi totalità di tablet con schermo da 7 pollici recentemente lanciati, anche l’ultimo di Samsung porta in dote Android 3.2 Honeycomb personalizzata con l’ormai onnipresente TouchWiz, ottimizzata per i tablet. All’interno troviamo un processore dual core ad 1,4GHz di frequenza di clock prodotto da Samsung (un Exynos?), insieme ad uno spazio di archiviazione che va da 16 a 64GB, uno slot microSD (in grado di leggere schede fino a 32GB), batteria da 5100mAh che dovrebbe garantire 10 ore di funzionamento, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, fotocamere da 3 megapixel sul retro e 2 megapixel frontalmente. La connettività in mobilità è assicurata da un modulo radio HSPA+ che dovrebbe garantire una velocità di connessione sino a 21Mbps. Lo spessore è contenuto in soli 7.89mm mentre il peso è di 335g, che fanno di questo dispositivo uno dei più sottili e leggeri in commercio. La presenza di un altoparlante nella parte alta del dispositivo pone un quesito: sarà in grado di telefonare come il “fratello minore”?

 

Con questo Galaxy Tab Samsung punta a soddisfare quella fetta di utenti che cercano un dispositivo con uno schermo “di medie dimensioni” – nè piccolo come il precedente Galaxy Tab, nè grande 9 o 10 pollici. Il nuovo processore dovrebbe essere in grado di garantire ottime prestazioni velocistiche che soddisfano qualunque utente. Lo schermo Super AMOLED Plus garantisce inoltre colori ed angoli di visuale migliori rispetto al precedente modello, insieme ad un risparmio della batteria che, se uguale agli altri modelli, dovrebbe aggirarsi intorno al 20%. Se sulla carta sembra che Samsung abbia creato un ottimo prodotto, completo e duraturo, non resta che attendere una prova sul campo per poter giudicarne effettivamente la bontà. L’unica speranza che giunge in questo momento è che Samsung non dimentichi degli acquirenti del precedente tablet e continui a fornire aggiornamenti e migliorie.
