Gboard di Google è una delle tastiere più conosciute e apprezzate nel mondo Android e, attraverso la sua funzione Emoji Kitchen, permette agli utenti di sbizzarrirsi creando delle simpatiche combinazioni di emoji direttamente durante la digitazione per poi condividerle nelle proprie app preferite.

Oggi, quindi, non parliamo né di personalizzazioni profonde di Gboard, né dei cambiamenti portati dal Material You. Andiamo invece a vedere più da vicino tutte le preannunciate novità dell’Emoji Kitchen della tastiera di Google.

Gboard: che cos’è l’Emoji Kitchen e come funziona

Come abbiamo visto nei giorni scorsi, Google ha preannunciato l’arrivo di ben 1.500 nuovi adesivi creabili tramite la Emoji Kitchen di Gboard.

Prima di vedere la lista completa e qualche esempio pratico delle novità introdotte da Google, è utile fare una precisazione: l’Emoji Kitchen è, in parole povere, uno strumento disponibile in Gboard che si occupa di creare automaticamente degli sticker frutto della combinazione di due differenti emoji digitate dall’utente.

Le combinazioni vengono create volta per volta e fino a questo momento se ne contano oltre quindicimila. Crearle è semplicissimo: è sufficiente inserire una prima emoji, come può essere ad esempio Smiling Face with Heart-Eyes (😍); a questo punto Gboard suggerisce automaticamente delle combinazioni, ma l’utente è libero di scegliere un’altra emoji per creare l’adesivo desiderato. Una volta ottenuto il risultato voluto, basta effettuare un tap sullo sticker per inserirlo nell’app in uso, rimuovendo automaticamente le emoji dal campo di testo.

Per i più nostalgici, c’è anche un piccolo trucco di Emoji Kitchen da conoscere: se si abbina un’emoji a quella della bacchetta magica (🪄), si ottiene il classico blob di Google sotto forma di adesivo.

La funzione non è sfruttabile in tutte le applicazioni per Android, ma sono comunque numerose quelle che permettono di farlo e includono app popolari come Google Messaggi, Facebook Messenger, Telegram e WhatsApp.

Ufficialmente, la funzione Emoji Kitchen di Gboard è esclusiva dell’app per Android, niente da fare dunque per gli utenti muniti di dispositivi iOS.

In verità una soluzione esiste: i creatori della feature Jennifer Daniel and Bhavik Singh hanno messo online una versione funzionante su iOS tramite browser all’indirizzo emoji.kitchen. Gli utenti possono creare gli adesivi e scaricarli come immagini, ma la lista è meno completa e aggiornata e non è esattamente la stessa cosa.
