Il team di OnePlus inizia a sentire la pressione dovuta alle insistenti richieste degli utenti in merito all’oramai fantomatico bug del touchscreen. L’azienda ha comunicato tempo fa di aver individuato l’origine del difetto (dovuto al firmware del digitalizzatore Synaptics) e di essere al lavoro per risolverlo. Dal momento dell’ultima comunicazione ufficiale sono però passate alcune settimane e, nel frattempo, sempre più persone hanno avuto modo di riscontrare il problema e di presentare le proprie rimostranze.

Da questa situazione di stress è scaturito un messaggio piuttosto scurrile, postato da un membro di OnePlus su Reddit. Il post (che riportiamo non tradotto per ovvi motivi) testimonia sostanzialmente il grande impegno profuso nella risoluzione dei problemi sopracitati ma, in fin dei conti, non fornisce alcun particolare utile, limitandosi semplicemente a “rassicurare” gli utenti.

Guys seriously, you cannot put more pressure on us because we’re already f**king panicking over this shit. Sorry for the language. Having a touch screen phone with a non-working touchscreen is death to a company. We’re not idiots, we understand this very well. Right now we have 2 issues categorized as “holy f**k if we don’t fix this we’re dead” – customer support and touch screen issue. Trust me on this one, we’re taking it super duper serious and have significant amounts of man-power dedicated to both of these issues.

Nel frattempo CyanogenMod ha proposto una propria soluzione al bug del touchscreen tramite una patch che, stando alle prime prove, sembrerebbe effettivamente funzionare. Staremo a vedere se OnePlus avvierà un aggiornamento OTA nel corso delle prossime ore.
