Ormai quelle poche speranze sembrano essersi spente, dopo la conferma ufficiale da parte di Honor India tramite Twitter: Honor 8 non sarà aggiornato ad Android 8.0 Oreo e resterà fermo a Nougat.
Secondo Honor, infatti, Honor 8 non è compatibile con Android 8.0 Oreo a causa di limitazioni hardware e software, per cui dietro questa scelta ci sarebbero motivazioni tecniche e non commerciali. Il tweet, purtroppo, è molto chiaro:
We can understand your concern. However, we regret to inform you that Honor 8 is not compatible for Android Oreo update due to hardware and software limitations. We always work for our customers and we are really glad to have you as an Honor customer. Inconvenience is regretted.
E’ giunto il momento, dunque, di mettersi l’anima in pace perché Honor 8 non sarà aggiornato ad Android 8.0 Oreo, a meno che Honor non decida di ripensarci in futuro, anche se è difficile visto che ci sarebbero limitazioni tecniche.
Discorso diverso per Honor 6X, per cui ci sono ancora delle speranze perché Honor, sempre tramite Twitter e bocca della divisione indiana, afferma che l’aggiornamento ad Android 8.0 Oreo è in fase di valutazione. Qui sotto il tweet:
We would like to inform you that the Android 8.0 / Oreo and latest EMUI for Honor 6x is under evaluation. We will inform users of the Android and EMUI update as soon as it is ready, please stay tuned. Thanks!
Ci sono perciò alcune possibilità che Honor 6X, smartphone lanciato a livello internazionale e nel mercato italiano appena un anno fa, sia aggiornato ad Android 8.0 Oreo, ma non è escluso che possa andare diversamente.
