Un tale di nome Phil Esposito ha pubblicato su Dribbble.com un interessante concept sui widget di Android. Finora i widget sono stati intesi come oggetti da posizionare sul desktop insieme alle icone, ma questo non è l’unico impiego che è possibile fare degli stessi. Prendendo un po’ spunto da quanto è possibile vedere nel mondo Linux, ad esempio sotto GNOME, Phil Esposito ha creato un widget che va a posizionarsi nella barra delle notifiche.
Queste le parole del designer:
I was using my tablet and realized how much I would like to have “docked widgets”. Widgets that can be enabled by an icon on your status bar and pop-up in an elegant manner. So I created an “ICS Style” gmail widget that is available from the status bar. Im [sic] going to make a few more widgets so the concept is more clear. Hopefully I can get a developer to make this concept real!
Stavo usando il mo tablet e mi sono reso conto di quanto mi piacerebbe avere dei “docked widgets”. Widgets che possono essere mostrati da un’icona nella status bar e che possono apparire in un modo elegante. Quindi ho creato un widget Gmail in “stile ICS” che è disponibile dalla status bar. Ho intenzione di creare ancora alcuni widget così che il concetto sia più chiaro. Spero di riuscire a trovare uno sviluppatore per rendere questo concept reale!
Di certo una simile reinterpretazione dei widget sarebbe interessante per i nostri tablet. Voi cosa ne pensate? Vi piacerebbe?
