VODAFONE WAP settings

Hello, I'm not from Italy, but I'm working in Milan for 3 weeks,

I've a G1 and I'd like to know how do I put the wap settings for vodafone....

I went to the store and they told me this:

Name:Vodafone Wap
APN:wap.omnitel.it
Proxy:010.128.201.76
Port:80

With this settings I can go to the internet but not to youtube or android market or even gmail or even gtalk....

what should I do?

with the web settings it works but is more expensive, I want the wap settings to usee the 'blackberry plan' the vodafone italia is selling....10€/month you get internet senza limiti...

Youtube and the others don't work if you connect with WAP, you have to connect with WEB.
I know that the web is too much expensive, this is because you are in ITALY!!

Yes, but you need to call Vodafone (190), and you turn on the iphone data pack... after a few hours is turned on.
P.S. You must say that you bought an iphone g2 from America, otherwise, you required the imei code for verify.

so after acticate the iphone plan, the only thing i need to set is the APN where a put:

APN: iphone.vodafone.it

the rest remains empty? how about mms? does it works with iphone APN?

With the iphone data pack will I be able to use the google talk, gmail, android market....?

Yes, you set the APN with iphone.vodafone.it and the rest remains empty.
MMS is no available now... Yes, with iphone plan you are able to use gtalk ecc...

They told me to go to the store, I went to the store and they asked the iphone imei.....

I told the people from vodafone that it doesn't matter the imei

they told me that can not activate the plan because it's not an iphone.....

When you call the 190 you must say that you have bought an iphone 2g from America, and the imei is of nothing utility.
